PACHYDERMS AT THE HOUSE SPRINGS CHRISTMAS PARADE

Pachyderms @ House Springs Christmas Parade - 2013

President Van de Riet, First Vice President Bickowski, Secretary Haynes, former Secretary Groeteke,. Larry Haynes, Janis LaForest and Jim Terry joined in the celebration of the House Springs parade.  Even though the weather was a challenge, there were many colorful floats, wagons drawn by dogs, group of horses, colorful fire trucks and other Christmas displays.  The route was filled with many spectators.  The members of the Pachyderm Club handed out treats provided by Schroeder Sod Farms.  We were very happy to join in the festivities and thank the members of the Lions Club for this wonderful opportunity.

On Sunday September 22 pachyderm members Jan Laforest, Don Bickowski, Sue Bickowski, Renee Reuter, Charles Groeteke and Club President Linda Van De Riet  were at the annual Arnold Days Parade.

This years parade featured the Anheuser Bush Clydsdales with the Honorable Mayor Counts riding with the drivers. The Pachyderms were at the front of the parade and were well received by the thousands of spectators who viewed the parade. Our new banner was proudly displayed along with our national and state flags. We also distributed Pachyderm literature to many citizens. If you missed the largest annual parade in Jefferson County this year, plan on attending next year the club had a blast.
